Commentators recap the rivarly between Jacob Fatu and Rusev, as they hype the match, next.
Rusev makes his way to the ring.
Commercial Break.
After the match, Rusev is pissed and tries to attack Fatu; however, Fatu gets the upper hand and super kicks Rusev. Jacob gets on the top rope and attempts to frog splash Rusev, but he rolls out of the ring. Outside of the ring, Jacob attempts to spear Rusev, but he side-sweeps him into the steel steps! Rusev picks up the steel steps and attempts to slam it on Jacob's arm, but referees stop him and breaks things up!
Corey Graves says if this is how the show is starting, then tonight is going to be a wild!
Michael Cole agrees, as he recaps the rivalry between Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Cole says that there is footage that the WWE universe needs to see of an altercation between Balor and JD, after Warriors went off the air last week.
The camera shows Finn Balor in the hospital, sneaking around looking for JD McDonagh's room. Finn is dressed as an orderly. When Finn finds JD's room, he attacks JD with a bedpan. JD, who is unable to defend himself, slithers out the bed, as he rushes into the hallway, where the two continue to fight, until Finn is thrown out of the hospital by security. As he is being escorted out, Finn yells to JD that this isn't over!
In real time, Cathy Kelly is with Finn Balor, asking him why he attacked JD? Finn says that everyone should be asking JD, why he would turn his back on him. Finn says that he thought he and JD were brothers, but he found out that JD is nothing more than a backstabbing bastard. Finn warns JD to keep a bunch of security around him, because what happened at the hospital was only a taste of what he plans to do to JD, before everything is over.
Dominik Mysterio walks up to Finn Balor, who asks Dominik if he knew anything about the attack. Dominik promises he didn't know anything, adding that he still thinks of Finn as his brother. When Dominik tries to put his hand on Finn's shoulder, Finn jerks away. Finn looks Dominik directly in the eyes, telling him that he doesn't trust any member of the Judgment, and he regrets not having better judgment when it comes to choosing his friends. Finn tells Dominik to hold tight to that Intercontinental championship, because when he's done whooping JD's ass, he's coming back for that gold! Finn walks away pissed, as Dominik stands there looking concerned, as he grabs his title and pulls it closer to his chest, kissing it.
When Dominik turns around, Austin Theory is standing there, telling Dominik that Finn was right; he better hold on to that championship tight, because at Armageddon, he will be taking that title when he becomes the new Intercontinental champion. Austin walks away smirking, as Dominik looks scared!

Backstage, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are watching clips from their match last week against Candice LeRae and Ivy Nile. Cathey Kelly asks if they feel like they're ready for Armageddon and how they feel about losing to Candice LeRae and Ivy Nile last week. Alexa says that Candice and Ivy had to cheat to win, so they're not worried about them or the match at Armageddon. Cathy asks Charlotte's thoughts on the matter, while Charlotte is playing with Alexa's hair. Charlotte says that she and Lexi are the greatest tag team in the women's division, and she's confident they will continue to reign supreme after Armageddon for as long as they choose to team together. Candice and Ivy walk up, saying that just like last week, Charlotte and Alexa have underestimated them. When they beat them at Armageddon, just as they did last week, they will prove to the world that they are underdogs. Alexa says she wouldn't mind a little preview of the match at Armageddon, pointing at Ivy, saying, How about you face me tonight to prove you can actually win a match. Ivy smirks, even though she's taken aback by the comment, telling Alexa she's on.
Commentators hope Jessica makes the match official for tonight!
Commentators recap the last match between DIY and New Catch Republic, as well as New Catch Republic punching DIY last week. They hype the match between the teams.

In the hallway, cameras catch Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss chatting. Bayley sees them and starts to walk up to them; however, Lyra Valkyria stops her, asking where she thinks she's going. Bayley says that she's going to talk to her friends; however, Lyra asks why Bayley continuously plays third wheel with them. Bayley, slightly upset, says that she doesn't play third wheel to anybody. Lyra says that Charlotte and Alexa are a team, and they don't need her. Lyra reminds Bayley that she is the role model, a Royal Rumble winner, and a grand slam champion; she tells Bayley to quit playing as a side character and remind the entire women's division that she's the main star! Lyra walks away as Bayley stands there looking conflicted!

During the match, both Charlotte Flair and Candice LeRae get thrown from ringside, leaving Alexa and Ivy to fight one-on-one.
Cameras show that earlier in the day, Nicholas Simpson walks into Jessica's office, seemingly pissed. Jessica thanks Nicholas for coming in, asking him if everything is alright. Nicholas asks why Jessica didn't help him last week. Jessica explains that since Nicholas is not a WWE superstar anymore, and he assaulted an actual employee, her hands were tied. Nicholas says that he guesses he understands, but says he is ready to do whatever it takes to get his hands on Drew McIntyre. Jessica tells Nicholas that he cannot touch Drew, or he'll get arrested again. Nicholas asks, What if he signs a contract with WWE. Jessica says that then he can face Drew, adding, In a match. Nicholas nods, telling Jessica he's ready to sign on the dotted line. Jessica tells Nicholas that she has to draft a contract first and then get it approved by the board of directors. Nicholas says, How long will that take? Jessica tells Drew that she'll have it ready for him to sign at Armageddon. Nicholas nods as he places his hand on Jessica's arm, telling her that he loves her and they should go out for dinner tonight. Jessica says she has a show to run; however, Nicholas says that there's always that late-night spot they like to go to. Jessica tells Nicholas to slow his roll, saying she'll see him at Armageddon. Nicholas winks and walks out. Jessica turns, taking a deep breath, until she hears commotion in the hallway. When she goes to check and see what happened, Jessica sees Nicholas laid out, with police officers arresting Drew. Jessica asks what happened. Drew says he called the cops because he knew that he was going to assault Nicholas the next time he saw him. Drew is taken by officers, as he is thrown into a police car, with one officer telling the other, he's never known anyone to call the police on themselves. Medics check on Nicholas as Jessica seems very conflicted.
Commentators wonder what will happen between Drew and Nicholas next, as they hype Kofi Kingston vs Devon Campbell next!

After the break, footage is shown of Devon and Bison Campbell working out earlier in the day, as the New Day walks up and jumps them from behind. Xavier tries to strangle Bison with a dumb bell, as Devon and Kofi brawl all over the gym area. Security are force to break things up, as Jessica says it's too early for this, effectively making Kofi vs Devon for later tonight.
In real time, Xavier Woods stops as Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring. Kofi asks Xavier what's up? Woods tells Kofi that he's going to handle Bison tonight. Kofi wonders what that means, but Woods tell him not to worry. Woods wishes Kofi luck as Kofi makes his way to the ring officially!
During the match, a video of the titantron shows Xavier Woods attacking Bison with a baseball bat, causing Devon to momentarily take his eyes off of Kofi, giving Kofi the chance to hit Trouble in Paradise to pick up the win.
Backstage cameras show Sami Zayn walking backstage; Grayson Waller jumps him from behind, throwing him into the trash cans, eventually hitting him in the ribs with a steel pipe. Security throws Grayson out of the arena, as medics check on Sami Zayn.

In the trainer's room, after the break, Jessica is checking on Sami Zayn. The doctor tells Jessica that Sami more than likely has cracked ribs. Sami says he wants to get his hands on Grayson. Jessica says that's not going to happen until he is medically cleared. Jessica says that Sami may be able to face Grayson on the first episode of the new year. Sami tries to stand up, but is in visible pain as Jessica says, You see what I mean, you men just don't listen, as she walks away shaking her head.
In the ring, AJ Styles addresses the WWE universe, saying that next year will be his final year of competitive action, as he will be officially retiring, as the WWE universe boo and chants, No! AJ seems touched, saying that he's had a career that most can only dream of, and he's in a place in his life where he's ready to call it quits. Gunther's music hits, to massive boos from the WWE universe. Gunther says, Why wait until the end of the year? We should take you out back and put you out of your misery now. He says that AJ should retire right now, while he's still able to walk, because by the time he's done with him, he's going to regret not taking the easy way out, because what he planned to do to John Cena is exactly what he's going to do to AJ Styles. Gunther gets in the ring, getting in AJ's face. After a few moments and a few words that the WWE universe cannot hear, AJ slaps Gunther, as referees and security break things up.
Jessica, on the titantron, says: "Since you two can't seem to keep your hands off of each other, you can face each other right now, in the middle of the ring, as the WWE universe goes wild.

After the match, as AJ celebrates, Gunther attacks him from behind, throwing him repeatedly into the steel steps and into the barricade, eventually taking a steel chair, placing it around AJ's ankle, and jumping onto the chair from the top rope, as referees demand he stop.
Backstage, LA Knight talks into the camera, saying that since El Americano Grande / Chad Gable was injured because of Logan Paul, he needs some new competition. LA says that whoever wins at Armageddon between Jake Silva and Cody Rhodes, he's coming for them, as he and the WWE universe chant, Yeah!
Corey Graves says that there was an altercation at the studio where Logan Paul tapes his Impulsive podcast. Jimmy and Jey interrupt his session by calling on the phone, taking over his podcast. Logan yells for production to hang up the call; however, when they don't, he slams his mic down to see what's up. Logan is shocked when the Usos are in the booth, controlling the microphones and phone lines, as both Uso's superkick him, leaving him laid out in pain, as the Usos say, "Welcome to the Uso penitentiary!

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs the Kabuki Warriors vs Candice LeRae and Ivy Nile in a triple threat match for the Women's Tag Team championships, possibly involving Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, depending on the main event.

Meanwhile, cameras catch Cody Rhodes and Stephanie Vaquer, the parking lot talking. Two hooded individuals come from behind them, attacking them. When the hoodied individuals take off their hoodies, it is revealed to be Jake Silva and Alba Fyre, who pick up the championships, and walk in separate directions to their cars, taking the titles with them as Warriors goes off the air!
Comments
