Monday Night Warriors Breakdown: What Are We Giving The Show This Week?
Let's talk about this past week's episode of Warriors.
We start the show with Liv Morgan vs Amelia for the Intercontinental championship. Let's just say that someone must be training Amelia because this was by far her best match. She definitely stepped up and showed why she should remain as IC champion. Why aren't we doing an angle like we did with Trish Stratus where every week she does something different to prove she's getting better as a wrestler. Liv Morgan should be in the main event scene, but looks like we're getting Liv Morgan vs Becky Lynch vs Amelia and possibly Michin, who is definitely getting lost in the sauce. Maybe we could have had Madison Torres involved in the feud instead of Michin and put Michin in the tag team division. Either way, thank you Liv for making Amelia interesting for one night.
So we continue the Logan Paul vs Uso's segments, when will they pull the trigger on this feud and make it interesting???
Finn Balor battling the Judgment Day; again we need something big to happen here that would make us care. Oba Femi needs to be on Explosion because his engagements are much more interesting over there than anything he has done on Warriors. Let's move on from this.
Warriors women showcased again why they are more interesting than the men. I feel like if Jessica actually acted like she cared about her male superstars and tried to make them entertaining like she did her female roster, maybe Warriors could be good from start to finish. Charlotte and Alexa and Bayley and Lyra Valkryia, although they should be competing in singles competition showcased they have incredible chemistry and was easily the match of the night. We still don't care about Ivy and Alba and we could give Rhea and iyo some time off because we're sick of Triple H's favorites dominating the scene. But this should crack up to be an OK match at Wrestlemania.
We need Je'Von Evans, Penta, Kofi Kingston and Andre Wilson in some type of match. Don't care how it happens, just make it happen.
We love the segments with Ethan Alexander and Jessica; that's the only time Jessica has made me interested to see what she has to say.
Sara Yamashita needs to separate from the Kabuki Warriors and go after the Intercontinental championship.
Randy Orton vs Jake Silva was a solid match but Jake Silva is being underutilized. Why doesn't Jessica let him shine? He's a great talker, a great worker, good in the ring. His championship run has been underwhelming becase Jessica isn't using him. He appears once every show if at all and then nothing. Why isn't she having Orton Silva, Rhodes and Rollins all throughout the show.
AJ and Gunther put on an OK match. It was just OK. Nothing special, nothing spectacular. Just OK. The women's tag team match should have been the main event.
Overall the show was just OK. Nothing to advance Wrestlemania or the show. Nothing to make me want to buy a Wrestlemania ticket.
Show Rating: 7/10
Notes: We need a more heelish Jessica to spice up the show and her character. We need her to focus more on her male superstars and act like she care about them and her tag team division. If she spent half the time making her show as good as she tries to make her women's division, Warriors may be must see TV again.
