Explosion kicks off with security pulling Roman Reigns and CM Punk apart, before the show even starts.
Roman breaks loose and shoves two guards into his tour bus. Punk throws a punch over security's shoulders. William walks out, shaking his head, saying, “ENOUGH!” William says, “I gave both of you ONE rule last week! He points at Roman. "If you touched Punk, you would lose your title shot at Wrestlemania," he then looks at Punk, saying, "And I told you, if you touch Roman, I would strip you of your title." William gets in both their faces, adding, “So tonight… You two stay away from each other until the end of this show, when we have the official contract signing.” Roman smirks. Punk laughs sarcastically. Security escorts them in opposite directions as the crowd buzzes.
Commentators officially welcome everyone to the show, as they say that for the second week in a row, Expplosion has started very caotic because of Roman Reigns and CM Punk. Corey Graves recaps the rivalry between Damian Priest and Ace Young, including the match last week where Ace cheated to pick up the win. Byron Saxton says that, because of this, William has booked a rematch between the two next, as Michael Cole hypes the opening match.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, Ace Young and Lauren Young are talking as Lauren helps Ace prepare for his match. Lauren kisses Ace, wishing him good luck. Ace goes to grab his bike, which he finds completely damaged, as he looks around trying to figure out what happened.
Ace is pissed as William walks up, asking what happened. Ace says he bets Damian Priest had something to do with destroying his motorcycle. William says he'll check the cameras, but for now, Ace has a match he needs to go out to the ring for. Ace promises to destroy Damian, as he walks away still pissed. William and Lauren look at each other, confused.
Damian Priest attacks Ace Young before the match, throwing him into the steel steps, causing damage to his arm. After the match, Damian Priest snaps, repeatedly attacking Ace with a steel chair. Security rushes out, forcing Damian Priest to the back.
Backstage, Jackie Redman is with the Alpha Academy. Jackie asks Alpha Academy why they attacked the tag team division a couple of weeks ago. Otis grabs the mic from Jackie, saying, "For months, everybody ignored us.” Akira Tozawa nods aggressively, adding, “We champions! Nobody respect us!” Otis says, "If management is going to overlook us, then we will make people take notice of us."
Fraxiom interrupts. Axiom looks pissed, saying, “You wanted respect?” He points at them. “Then you should’ve stood up like real men instead of jumping everybody from behind.” Nathan Frazer nods, saying, “That sneak attack garbage doesn’t make you dominant.” Otis surprisingly calms down. Otis says, "You're right. So let me prove it in a match tonight, you two vs us?" William, who is walking by says, "That sounds like a great idea. Alpha Academy vs Fraxiom tonight." Both teams look excited as William walks away.
Commentators hype the Women's United States championship match next.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Diamond celebrates carefully. Nikki Cross slowly stands up smiling, then she starts clapping. Diamond tells Nikki to bring it, however, Nikki sits in the middle of the ring, and starts laughing. She then reaches into her hair and pulls out strands of blonde hair. Diamond freezes.
Nikki whispers, “You’re losing pieces of yourself already, and next will be your championship.” Diamond and B Fab slither out of the ring, making their way up the ramp, slowly, not taking their eyes off of Nikki, who rocks and laughs.
Backstage, a visibly hurt Ace Young is yelling for Damian Priest. William comes up telling Ace that he's in no position to be fighting anyway. Ace says that he owes Damian a ass whopping for attacking him before and after the match and for destroying his Harley Davidson bike. William tells Ace that he understands his frustrations, but tells him that he will not allow him to get injured any further by fighting when not ready. Lauren Young walks up, as William tells her to take her husband home so he can recoop. Ace tells William that he's not going any damn where. William smirks, telling Ace that he either leaves voluntarily, or he'll have security kick his ass out involuntarily. Lauren nudges Ace to go with her. Ace says that he is going to whoop Damian's ass. William nods, saying, "As soon as you're healthy, you can do just that." William motions for Ace and Lauren to leave, as he looks relieved that Ace followed his instructions.
Commentators hype Fraxiom vs Alpha Academy coming up.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, Jacob Fatu is walking backstage. Solo Sikoa blindsides him with a steel pipe. The WWE universe goes wild.
Solo beats Jacob down violently. Jacob fires back and throws Solo through a production table. Security rushes in. Jacob grabs a road case and launches it into Solo.
William walks up, demanding that security get a handle of the situation. Jacob breaks loose and dives onto Solo. Jacob and Solo start attacking officials, so they can get to each other. William gets in between Solo and Jacob, demanding they stop fighting. William tells both men that if they hit him, they'll both be on the unemployment line. William tells security to get the hell up and handle things. Solo escapes and hits the Samoan Drop on Fatu on a nearby table. Security pulls Solo away from the scene, as medics check on Jacob. Jacob appears to be fine, with William demanding that they take Solo and Fatu out of the building.
After the match, the Creed Brothers storm out and destroy both teams. Julius grabs a mic, saying, “You think we forgot?!” Brutus throws Tozawa into the barricade. The Motor City Machine Guns rush out, forcing the Creed Brothers to retreat through the crowd. The Motor City machine Guns help Fraxiom up. When they go to help Alpha Academy up, Otis refuses their help, brushing past them, as Tozawa looks conflicted as he follows behind Otis.
Dragon Lee is shown preparing for his match. Commentators hype up the United States Open Challenge coming up, after the break.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are backstage. Candice says she’s sick of Chelsea. Chelsea suddenly rolls into frame in her wheelchair. Chelsea says, “Beep beep, peasants.” The WWE universe laughs. Matt Cardona walks in, eating popcorn, saying, “You two look stressed.” Johnny rolls his eyes, saying, “You two are unbelievably annoying.” Chelsea gasps dramatically, saying, “Annoying?!” She points at her cast, adding, “I’m disabled!” Candice laughs, telling Chelsea that she's just dramatic. Chelsea immediately fake cries, telling Matt that Candice is abusing her. Cardona throws popcorn into Johnny’s face.
Cardona superkicks Gargano. Candice attacks Matt. Chelsea starts swinging her crutch wildly yelling, "Stop it you witch." Cardona powerbombs Johnny onto a catering table. Chelsea runs over Candice’s foot again. Candice screams in pain. Chelsea starts laughing so hard she almost falls out of the wheelchair. William walks by, looking at the chaos. William says that if Jessica saw the food that they just wasted, she would probably have a heart attack. William shakes his head, laughing, as he walks away, yelling for security to throw the Cardona's and the Gargano's out of his arena.
William bumps into the Miz. He stops in his tracks and tells Miz to go to the ring right now. Miz wonders why. William says, "Because you're accepting Dragon Lee's open challenge right now." Miz seems happy as he makes his way to the ring. William stops him, telling Miz, "I saw you on Warriors. You looked like you fit right in." Miz looks confused. William tells Miz, "If you lose tonight, you can continue fitting right in on Warriors, because I'll be firing you tonight, if you don't become the new United States champion." Miz looks shocked as William walks away.
Commentators have mixed emotions in regards to William's shocking announcement, as they hype the United States championship open challenge, next!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
The Bellas are laughing backstage after the break. Natalya and Maxxine walk in frustrated. Natalya says, “We should’ve won last week.” Brie Bella laughs, telling Natalya that she needs to relax. Maxxine smirks, adding that she has been telling Natalya that all week long. Natalya gives Maxxine a look, and Maxxine immediately turns her head, not saying another word. Nikki Bella tells Natalya that she's being way too intense. Brie says that Natalya needs a night out, with Brie Mode. Nikki says, "Oh no. Brie mode is dead." Natalya starts laughing. Natalya says that she has been a bit stressed lately. Natayla whispers something to Maxxine, who nods. Natalya suggests that the Bellas meet them in the ring for a match, for old times' sake. The Bellas look at each other and say yes at the same time. Natalya says that she'll go talk to William.
Commentators say this match should be interesting, hoping William will make it official.
After the match, Miz is shocked. The WWE universe starts singing, "Na Na Na Na. Na Na Na Na. Hey, Hey, Hey. Goodbye." Miz rushes out of the ring, making his way up the ramp. As soon as he gets through the curtain, William is standing there. Miz begs him not to fire him. William says that he's not actually firing Miz, but says that he feels like Miz will have better opportunities on Warriors. William says that Miz's contract officially ends tonight, and he has decided not to renew it. He says that he's not renewing it, not because he doesn't like Miz, but because, as an A-Lister, he deserves to be treated as such as he knows that Jessica will do that for him. Miz starts smiling, thanking and hugging William for everything. William hugs Miz back, telling him good luck on Warriors. William smiles as Miz walks away.
Commentators commend William for being such a class act by putting the superstar's best interest ahead of his show.
In the ring, as Dragon Lee continues to celebrate, he is hit with Black Mass out of nowhere by Aleister Black. Aleister Black stands over Dragon. Rey Mysterio rushes out. Aleister rolls out of the ring, slowly, smiling. Zelina laughs from the ramp.
In William's office, Natalya is walking out with Maxxine. Natalya thanks William for making the match official.
Commentators hype the match for later tonight, as they also hype tonight's main event, Uncle Howdy vs Brock Lesnar in a casket match.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, in William's office, Jordynne Grace, Giulia, Kiana James, Tiffany Stratton, B Fab, and Candice LeRae are all there waiting. William walks back in, thanking the ladies for coming to see him. He says that he called them in there to let them know that next week, there will be a 10-woman gauntlet match to determine the new number one contender for the Women's United States championship. They all seem excited until Kiana James says that there are only 6 in them in the office right now. William says that the final two ladies will be surprise entrants, either from NXT or Warriors, or a possible legend or two. William winks as he tells them good luck next week!
After the match, Lash Legend and Nia Jax rush out, attacking the Bellas with the tag team titles. The Judgment Day rushes out, attacking Lash and Nia, however, Zelina Vega and Nikki Cross come out as well, evening the odds. All four teams wrestle. Maxxine tries to get in the ring to help, but Natayla pulls her back, telling her to let them settle it on their own. Maxxine says her friends need help, but Natalya says it has nothing to do with them, as the Irresistible Forces and Zelina and Nikki get the upper hand, as Maxxine walks behind Natalya, looking back, seemingly conflicted.
Melissa Lucas is backstage talking to Jackie Redmond. Before Jackie can ask the first question, Jade interrupts again. Jade says, “You still talking like you matter?”
Melissa laughs. Melissa says, "I wouldn't worry about what matters, because you are clearly confused about what really matters in life." Jade asks her what she means by that. Melissa says, "If you were focused on what really matters, then you'd actually be able to wrestle." The WWE universe gasps in shock as Jade’s expression changes instantly. Jade goes to slap Melissa; however, Melissa grabs her arm, twisting it, telling Jade that she had better learn to keep her hands to herself when not in the ring. Melissa throws Jade into the wall, with her arm still twisted, saying, "I'll let you walk away this time. But next time, I won't be so nice." Melissa walks away confidently, as Jade is furious.
Commentators say that things are really heating up on the road to Wrestlemania, as they hype the main event!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, Trick Williams is backstage laughing with a group of people. Trick is overheard bragging about what he did to Carmelo hayes last week, telling everynody that, “Ain’t nobody smarter than Trick Willy.” He fixes his sunglasses. Trick says, “Melo is still looking stupid.” The WWE universe boos. Suddenly, Carmelo rushes Trick Williams, as the people talking to Trick run away. Suddenly, Carmelo Hayes smashes Trick in the face with a trash can lid from behind, with trash falling all over Trick's body. Melo immediately unloads, punching Trick and kneeing him in the stomach. Melo throws Trick into the wall. Carmelo says, "Who looks stupid now?!" Trick tries to fight back. Melo slams his hand in a production door repeatedly. Trick screams in pain. Melo grabs Trick’s jacket, ripping it off of him. Melo says, “You like embarrassing people?!” He throws Trick onto a rolling equipment crate. Melo says, "Let me help you." Melo shoves the crate full speed into an 18-wheeler production truck. The WWE universe loses it as Trick rolls around in pain. Melo grabs the sunglasses off Trick’s face, smiling. Melo snaps the sunglasses in half. Trick is furious, as he lunges at Melo. Melo dodges and low blows Trick. Trick starts throwing up. Security rushes in, as Melo backs away.

Cameras show Paul Heyman scared backstage, as Brock Lesnar does exercises to loosen up. The Wyatt Sicks are also shown backstage, strategizing with Uncle Howdy, who grabs his lantern and makes his way to ringside.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, in the medics' room, William checks on Trick Williams.
Trick immediately stands up, demanding to get his hands on Carmelo Hayes. William instructs Trick to sit down, and take it easy as he thinks for a second saying, there are two other men who can't wait to get their hands on each other and I think I have the perfect match for you four. William announces next week, Trick Williams will team with Solo Sikoa to take on the team of Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu. Trick smiles as William walks away.
Commentators are excited about that match.
The WWE universe is shocked by Oba attacking Brock Lesnar, including Paul Heyman. When Brock Lesnar gets up, he tells Paul Heyman, "Oba is a dead man."
Commentators wonder why Oba attacked Lesnar. Jackie Redman catches up with Oba, asking why he attacked Lesnar. Oba says, "I'll explain everything next week." He walks away, as Jackie is curious about what that means.
Commentators say they cannot wait to see what led Oba to attack Lesnar, as cameras show Punk and Roman both making their way to the ring.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Roman Reigns comes out furious. CM Punk again cuts Roman off before he can say anything. Both men are pacing inside the ring, neither of them smiling. Roman Reigns says that Punk is breaking down. Roman says, “These people cheer you because they feel sorry for you.” Punk laughs as the WWE universe boos Roman's statement. Punk says, “They only acknowledge you so you can hurry up and shut the hell up and they don't have to sit through another one of your bad promos.” The WWE universe gasps. Roman smirks. Roman says, You know what your problem is?” He steps closer, adding, “You spent your whole life pushing people away, and then cry when nobody stays around your lame ass.” Punk is starting to get more upset as he says, “You wanna talk family?” He points at Roman. “You manipulate yours.” Roman's jaw tightens as Punk adds, “You don’t lead with love… You lead with fear.” Roman gets nose-to-nose. Roman smirks saying, "You keep saying the same sh*t every week, but you and I both know that's because you have nothing else to try to get under my skin than my family, who is loyal to me." Punk says, "Loyal?" Roman says, "You've never had family or even a friend, so you wouldn't understand anything about loyalty." Punk smirks. Roman says, "At Wrestlemania, I will put you out of your misery." Punk asks, "Is that so?" Punk points at the WrestleMania sign, adding, “At WrestleMania… I expose you.” Roman smirks, saying, "No... At WrestleMania… “I end you.”
Explosion ends with Roman and Punk staring each other down while security surrounds them in the ring, as Michael Cole says the official contract signing will happen next week.
