Explosion opens backstage. Paul Heyman is sitting in a chair in William’s office. He looks terrible — pale, sweaty, exhausted, suit wrinkled, tie loose. Brock Lesnar stands behind him with his arms folded. William stands across from them. William says, “Paul… are you sure you want to go out there tonight?” Heyman slowly looks up. Heyman says, “I don’t want to. I have to." Brock Lesnar doesn't say anything. William shrugs, and Heyman walks away zombie-like, as Lesnar follows behind him.
Commentators recap the match between the Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) and the Dungeon (Natayla and Maxxine Dupri), with The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) making the save. They hype the match between Nia Jax and Raquel Rodriguez next!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, Jackie Redman is backstage with William. Jackie says, “William, last week you had Carmelo Hayes escorted from the building. Many people are wondering why.” William looks irritated. William says, “Because I knew if I didn't stop him, Carmelo Hayes would interfere in my main event.” William adds, “CM Punk vs Trick Williams was a WWE Universal Championship match. That was my main event. Carmelo’s personal vendetta almost blew up my show before Roman Reigns even got involved.” Jackie asks if William knows if Trick Williams attacked Carmelo. William pauses. William says, “I know Carmelo thinks he knows it was Trick, but I don't know that for sure.” William walks away, as Jackie Redman sends it back to ring side.
After the match, Lash Legend and Roxanne Perez immediately get involved. Nia and Lash try to corner Raquel and Roxanne, but Judgment Day refuses to back down. The argument turns into a brawl around ringside. Security rushes out. Nia grabs a chair. Raquel dares her to swing. Lash screams, Lash Legend screams, “If you want these titles? Come get embarrassed!” Roxanne laughs in her face, telling Lash that they will get those titles sooner or later. Natalya and Maxxine Dupri come out saying that they will not be pushed aside. Nia and Lash laugh, saying, "We already beat you losers." William comes out saying, "At Wrestlemania, we will have a fatal four-way match for the WWE Women's Tag Team championships, and next week those three teams will be determined in a series of qualifying matches." Natalya, Maxxine, Raquel, and Roxanne all look determined, as Nia and Lash look pissed about the announcement of that match.
Corey Graves recaps the previous matches featuring the Explosion tag team division, with the Creed Brothers winning the tables match, Fraxiom winning the 2 out of 3 falls match, and last week, Motor City Machine Guns winning the Street Fight. Michael Cole hypes the TLC match next.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, the tag teams make their way to the ring for the TLC match. William comes out saying, "There is a briefcase hanging above the ring. In that briefcase is a contract for a future tag team title shot." All three teams look excited as he wishes them good luck, and the match gets underway.
After the match, bodies are everywhere, tables are broken, and ladders and chairs are scattered. As MCMG celebrates, Alpha Academy storms out with the WWE Tag Team Championships. Otis and Akira Tozawa hit the ring and lay out MCMG. Otis crushes Alex Shelley with a splash, as Akira Tozawa climbs a ladder and dives onto Chris Sabin. Alpha Academy stands over the wreckage as Otis raises the titles. Tozawa gives Otis a mio, as Otis says, "You forgot about us?!", as Tozawa points at MCMG, who are rolling around in pain. Otis adds, You'll never forget about us, ever again," as Alpha Academy raises the titles above their heads.
Commentators are shocked by the actions of Alpha Academy as the WWE universe boos loudly. Michael Cole is about to say something when he says, "Hold up. I hear something is going on backstage." Cameras rush backstage to see what the commotion is all about.
Carmelo Hayes is yelling. Cameras catch Trick Williams talking to two crew members. Carmelo tackles him straight into a production crate. Trick scrambles away and throws a monitor into Carmelo’s shoulder. Security floods in as Carmelo yells, "You thought I wouldn't find out?!" Trick laughs while Carmelo is dragged away. Trick yells at Carmelo, “You still don’t know nothing!”
Commentators wonder how bad things will get between Trick and Carmelo.
Cameras catch Diamond White and B-Fab talking backstage, as Byron Saxton hypes B-Fab taking on Nikki Cross after the break.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Backstage, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are walking when Chelsea Green rolls into frame in her wheelchair, ankle wrapped and booted. Chelsea Green says, “Oh, look. Mr. and Mrs. Mid-Card.” Candice stops asking Chelsea, "Do you have something to say from that chair?” Chelsea smiles, telling Candice, “I don’t need to stand to look down on you.” Matt Cardona appears from behind and blasts Johnny into the wall. Candice turns, and Chelsea rolls forward, running over Candice’s foot with the wheelchair. Candice screams. Chelsea gasps dramatically, as she smirks, saying, “Oh no! My brakes must be broken!” Cardona throws Johnny into a stack of crates, as Chelsea claps from her wheelchair.
Commentators say that things are heating up between the two couples.
After the match, Nikki Cross is sitting in the corner, smiling. Diamond steps into the ring. Diamond White says, "Your mind games won't work on me anymore." Nikki crawls toward her slowly. She reaches toward the title, but stops just short. Nikki sits down and starts rocking back and forth. Diamond swings, but Nikki rolls out laughing. Nikki backs up the ramp slowly, as Diamond checks on B Fab.
Cameras catch Paul Heyman sitting in a chair in the backstage area, and Lesnar taps him on the shoulder. Heyman gets up slowly, eyes red, hair a mess. Heyman starts walking towards the ring, as commentators wonder what this is all about.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, in the ring, Paul Heyman has a microphone. Heyman looks shaken. Brock looks ready to kill someone. Heyman grips the mic with trembling hands. Paul Heyman says, “I have stood beside monsters.” He looks at Brock. Heyman adds, “I have represented beasts. Conquerors. Champions. Men who made the world afraid; but what the Wyatt Sicks did to me…” He swallows hard, adding, “…was different.” The WWE universe is silent, listening intently. Heyman says, “They didn’t want money. They didn’t want power. They didn’t want a favor,” as he looks almost haunted, adding, “They wanted my mind.” Brock steps forward. Heyman says, “Howdy… you made one mistake; you left me with the one man who doesn’t fear darkness,” as he points to Brock Lesnar. Lesnar takes the mic from Heyman, saying, "Howdy." "Run," as the screen goes black.
Although still dark, you can hear Michael Cole say, "That was eery," with Corey Graves adding, "Maybe one of these Jesus' can save us," as he hypes R Truth and Oba Femi vs the Miz and Ace Young, next!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
In a pre-taped interview, Zelina Vega stands beside Aleister Black in a dim hallway. Zelina addresses Rey Mysterio, telling Rey, “Rey Mysterio, you should have stayed home.” She smirks, adding, “You’re old, Rey. You’re tired. You’re running around trying to save Dragon Lee because deep down you know your own time is up.” Aleister Black steps forward. Aleister says, “Rey Mysterio… you should have minded your own business.” Aleister looks into the camera, adding, “I will destroy you first. Then I will take back my United States Championship from Dragon Lee.” Zelina smiles, saying, “Everyone eventually fades to black.” They both look at each other, laughing sinisterly.
Backstage, Jackie Redman asks Dragon Lee his thoughts on what Aleister Black and Zelina Vega just had to say. Dragon Lee says that he will defend the honor of Luchadors all around the world, including his hero, Rey Mysterio. Santos Escobar walks up, slowly clapping. Santos says, "Dragon Lee, US champion. What a joke." Dragon Lee gets in Santos face, saying, "I'll show you that you are the real joke, next week." Santos winks, adding, "See you next week.... 'champ'." Commentators hope William makes that match official.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the break, Michael Cole confirms that William has made Santos Escobar vs Dragon Lee official for next week.
Meanwhile, Ace Young storms backstage after the match, angry that his team lost. Damian Priest is leaning against a wall, amused. Priest says, “Tough luck.” Ace stops. Ace asks, “What did you just say?” Priest shrugs, replying, “I know you heard me.” Ace steps closer, saying, “Say it again.” Priest laughs, saying, “You lost. Tough luck.” Ace punches Priest in the mouth. Priest fires back. They slam into equipment cases as officials rush in. Damian Priest yells. “You just made the wrong enemy!” Ace smiles, saying, “Good.” Security separates the two, as commentators wonder what else could happen tonight.
Byron Saxton recaps the rivalries between the Bellas and Kiana James and Giulia, as well as the rivalry between Melissa Lucas and Jade Cargill, as Corey Graves hypes the 6-woman tag team match next!
After the match, Nia Jax and Lash Legend hit the ring and attack the Bellas. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez rush to even the odds. For a moment, it looks like Judgment Day has turned the tide; however, Giulia and Kiana James rejoin the fight. Nia, Lash, Giulia, and Kiana overwhelm everyone. The Bellas are down. Nia throws Raquel into the steel steps. Lash slams Roxanne through the barricade. Melissa tries to help, but Jade yanks her back and throws her into the ring post. Nia, Lash, Kiana, Giulia, and Jade Cargill stand tall as the WWE universe boos loudly.
Byron Saxton hypes the main event.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Cameras immediately rush backstage, after the break, where Trick is trying to leave the building. Carmelo jumps him near the loading dock. They fight between trucks. Trick rams Carmelo into a rolling garage door. Carmelo comes back with a forearm. Security and producers pull them apart again. William runs in furiously, saying, “Both of you! You touch each other again tonight, and I’ll suspend both your asses!” Carmelo points at Trick, yelling back, “He knows what he did.” Trick smirks, telling Carmelo to, “Prove it.” William tells security to get them out of here, as he walks away, and Trick taunts Carmelo.
As William walks back into the arena, Zelina Vega walks up to him, saying that she needs a quick moment. William rolls his eyes, but says he has a moment. Zelina Vega says that she wants gold. She says that Aleister Black will win back his United States championship soon enough, so to be equally yoked, she wants some gold as well. William asks Zelina how she thinks that's going to happen. Zelina says that she has found a partner to enter the Women's Tag Team championship qualifying matches next week. William looks intrigiued, asking who her partner could be. Zelina points behind William. William turns around to see Nikki Cross standing behind him, smiling eerily. William backs up, saying, "I rebuke you demon", as he starts to walk off. Zelina asks what that means for her being in the qualifying matches. William says, "As long as you keep her crazy ass away from me, you and her are in." Zelina starts jumping up and down with glee, as cameras reveal William is nowhere to be seen. Zelina smiles at Nikki, who smiles back creepingly. Zelina says, "This is too weird", as she walks away. Nikki plops on the floor, rocking back and forth.
Michael Cole says that Nikki and Zelina will be a weird team to beat next week, adding that tonight has been one wild ride, "And next week is shaping up to be just as crazy." Corey Graves and Byron Saxton run down the matches for next week, including:

Backstage, after the break, Melissa Lucas approaches Jade Cargill, who is packing her bags to leave. Melissa doesn't say anything; she punches Jade in the face. Jade looks shocked as she falls to the ground, nose bleeding. Melissa then goes into the catering area and grabs a pitcher of water. Melissa dumps the water over Jade’s head, saying, "Here's some water, since you're so thirsty for my attention." The crowd gasps and laughs. Jade is furious, soaked, humiliated. Melissa winks as she starts to walk away. Jade screams in frustration, yelling, “I’M GOING TO END YOU!”
Michael Cole says, "I knew it was only a matter of time before Melissa got her lick back."
The main event gets underway.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
After the cage match, both men are battered. The cage door opens. Officials try to help them out. Solo suddenly grabs Jacob and throws him into the cage wall. Jacob fires back. They fight again inside the cage. William comes out, furious. William says, “Open the cage! Get them separated!” More officials rush in. Solo and Jacob keep swinging until the feed cuts backstage.
Michael Cole says, "This is pure chaos." Suddenly, CM Punk's music hits, as he makes his way to the ring. Michael Cole adds, "Things may only get worse from here."
COMMERCIAL BREAK
In the ring, after the break, CM Punk is heavily taped from last week. The crowd gives him a huge reaction. He limps in the ring but refuses to look weak. CM Punk says, “Roman Reigns tried to end me last week, but I’m still standing.” Punk says that Roman knows he can't beat him, so he has to try to destroy him before Wrestlemania to have a fighting chance. Roman’s music hits. Roman walks out slowly, smiling. Roman says, "You think I have to beat you down to beat you at Wrestlemania." Roman laughs. “You’re taped up like a broken old man.” Punk smirks. CM Punk: “At least I showed up without needing my family to carry me.” Roman’s smile vanishes. The crowd erupts. Roman Reigns tells Punk to be careful. Punk steps closer. “Why? Because I said, family?” Roman’s jaw tightens. Punk keeps going. “You built your whole empire on bloodline loyalty, but every time somebody in your family stands next to you, they end up worse off.” Roman is furious. Punk continues. “You don’t lead your family. You use them.” Roman snaps. He blasts Punk with a right hand. Punk fires back. They brawl hard. Roman targets Punk's taped ribs. He drives Punk into the corner, shoulder after shoulder. Punk tries to fight back, but Roman spears him. Security rushes in. Roman throws them off. Roman grabs Punk and spears him again. Punk is down badly. Roman crouches over him. Roman says, “You wanted me at Wrestlemania so bad. Now you're going to have to survive even making it to Wrestlemania.” Roman punches Punk in the face continuously, as officials scream for him to stop. Security runs out. Roman backs up slowly, breathing heavily, while Punk is barely moving. Michael Cole’s voice shakes as he says, “CM Punk came into tonight hurt… and Roman Reigns may have just made it worse.” Explosion ends with Roman standing tall, Punk laid out, and the WWE universe in shock.
