Michael Cole welcomes everyone to a special edition of WWE Live at Madison Square Garden, where the conclusion of the first-round matches and the quarterfinal matches of the Final Time is Now tournament will take place.
Pre-taped arrivals of Gunther, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Penta are shown.
Michael Cole starts the show saying that there is some breaking news. Sheamus, who was originally scheduled to have a first-round match against Carmelo Hayes, has been medically cleared to compete; however, he will be replaced in the tournament by NXT's Ace Young.
Corey Graves runs down the tournament so far:
Gunther defeated Shinsuke Nakamura
Penta defeated El Grande Americano
Solo Sikoa defeated Dragon Lee
R Truth defeated the Miz
Commentators hype the opening first-round match between Jacob Fatu and LA Knight.
The match starts with LA Knight reaching out to shake Jacob Fatu's hand, which Jacob reciprocates the gesture.

Backstage, AJ Styles is preparing for his match against Rusev when Gunther walks up. AJ asks Gunther what he wants, and Gunther smirks, saying, "Maybe I'll see you in the semifinals of the tournament, but probably not!" Gunther walks away, as AJ looks pissed!
Commentators hype AJ Styles vs Rusev, next!
During the match, Gunther distracts AJ Styles and the referee, giving Rusev a chance to take advantage and get the upper hand in the match!

After the break, cameras rush backstage to where Mohammad Rabid has been attacked. William, referees, security, and medics rush to see what happened. Cameras catch Santos Escobar in the background, smiling.
Commentators wonder what that means for the tournament if Mohammad Rabid is unable to compete.
A pre-taped message from John Cena shows him wishing everyone good luck in the tournament and telling the WWE universe that although his last match will be next weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event, he will always be a part of the WWE universe, and he will be watching and supporting as a fan.
A "Thank you Cena" chant breaks out as Carmelo Hayes interrupts, making his way to the ring, as the crowd boos loudly!
In the ring, Carmelo says that since Mohammad has not been medically cleared to compete, he should be declared the winner and automatically move on to the quarterfinals. Carmelo says that he wants a referee to come out and raise his hand in victory, saying that everyone is looking at the man who will retire John Cena.
As Carmelo Hayes demands the referee to get in the ring and raise his hand, Joe Hendry's music hits, to the surprise of the WWE universe. Joe says that he's talked to Mercedes and William, and they have decided to replace Mohammad in the tournament, and he's the replacement. Carmelo seems pissed, as commentators hype the match between Hayes and Hendry, next!

Backstage, AJ Styles is packing his bags when Gunther walks in, laughing. Gunther says that AJ Styles should pack his bags for good and put himself out of misery before he has to take AJ out back and put him to rest like Old Yella. AJ gets in Gunther's face, telling him to try it. Gunther pats AJ on the shoulder and walks away laughing!

Commentators hype John Cena's final match next week at Saturday's Night Main Event as they announce that:

Sol Ruca (NXT Women's North American champion) will take on Jade Cargill (WWE Women's champion)

Backstage, an altercation between Jacob Fatu and Rusev shows both men shouting at each other, with Jessica asking what the hell is going on. Jacob and Rusev yell at each other, both promising to kick each other's ass.

After the break, cameras rush backstage where AJ Styles and Gunther are beating the hell out of each other, both blaming the other for costing them the match! Security breaks things up, as Jessica demands they escort both AJ and Gunther out the arena.
Before the match can start, Rusev rushes in the ring, with Jacob attacking him. The referee has to break things up. Midway through the match, Rusev knocks out the referee, using a kendo stick to gain an unfair advantage!

COMMERCIAL BREAK
Solo Sikoa makes his way to the ring, as Jacob Fatu is being escorted up the ramo. Cameras over hear Solo Sikoa calling Jacob a loser, yelling that Fatu is nothing without him.
As Solo goes to the ring, Jacob Fatu attacks him from behind, leaving Solo laid out. R Truth, who is already in the ring realizes the bell hasn't rung and attacks Solo at ringside!
After the match, Jacob Fatu comes back out, insulting Solo from the ramp, with Solo confronting Jacob leading to the two brawling at the top of the ramp, until referees and security break things up!
